Has anyone else played this yet?
I'm at a loss as to why they think this is lucas arts redemption. I find it succeeds in three areas: Being monotonous, being aggravating, and looking pretty.

It is a great continuation of the storyline, I thought the action sequences are challenging and enjoyable. Each npc and boss had a specific way to be attacked and killed, what was good for shaak Ti DEFINATLEY wasn't good for the Emporer.
There was a little military accuracy in it as well. Instead of only having stormtroopers in the game as cannon fodder you had shock troopers, nova troopers, etc. And they would KILL you if you were not paying attention.
Before I bought it, my friend told me that the storyline was actually given the Lucas blessing on being story canon. And since I love the epic storyline that is Star Wars and I had to check it out. Now, im not to fond of prequels in general ( I think they are cheating imo ) this was a good story on how the rebel alliance was formed.
My two complaints with the game are kind of big ones to gamers. Camera angles and targeting. The camera angles do tend to make you jump off of a cliff and give you the "long way down" bonus to yourself. And th targeting (Spelling?) was just as bad, I had myself swearing at the television during the part where you had to (spoiler for who cares) drop a star destroyer on a planet using the force WHICH WAS FREAKING SWEET.

I don't know, I'm trying to give it a chance, but its just so infuriating to play. I found that my lightsaber was mostly useless, seeing how I could lightning people, or toss them off cliffs.
And when it comes to storyline, lucas has proven (in my opinion) to have a sort of cannibalistic disposition towards starwars, it seems pretty hard to screw up three movies which were pretty much already written in expanded universe books, but he found a way. I may just be too much of an expanded universe fan to accept anything that tries to tie the prequels to the original trilogy. I figure you should cut out or segregate cancerous material from healthy material.
My absolute favorite part of the game was when the pilot introduced herself. Her name was so ridiculous she might as well have said "Hi, I'm Straight-out-of porn." I lawled.

Dont hate Star Wars just hate Lucas . . . he has pulled an M Night Shamalan . . . I is so wrapped up in himself that he cant see the forest for the trees.
But I agree, if they made the expanded universe into media format, be it movies, tv show, anime, cell shaded cartoon, cg cartoon, video game then the series would regain its populatrity.
Me and my Star Wars friends have a little joke we like to tell each other. "Man Star Wars is a great series, too bad they wont make any movies for it . . ."
