I am really suprised lore hasn't started one of these already, seeing as she HATES twilight (and likes to bring it up a lot recenty), but i liked the books.
MY issue is with the movie. the special effects made me want to gouge my eyes out and it was almost too much to watch the rest of the movie. i know that if i never read the books i would have thought twilight the movie was a peice of poop just for the cg (or lack of). how did they not realize it would do well and give it a bigger budget? silly.
the rest of the movie was fine....except for one actor. the one who played Jasper... why did he always look like he was always so suprised? every time he came on screen i couldn't help but burst out laughing!
well i guess that's all i gotta say, but i'm wondering if im being too harsh with the special effects... i don't know.

Hey now, I only bring up my general dislike for Twilight when you bring up that you like it.
Now when you're talking about special effects, does that include any kinda of special camera magic when they have to make someone run fast or jump or fly? I haven't seen the movie, but I can't imagine it looking any less than completely ridiculous. I actually hate moments like that, when someone has to run really fast or jump supernaturally high. It never looks good, even in movies I really like. I always sit there and think "HOW could the director say "okay, that's great! that's a wrap!!" I would shoot those scenes over and over again until they look perfect and if I can't get them perfect, I would simply try something else to suggest their motion or speed instead of actually following them with that terrible camera trick. Ugh. Well that's only one of my movie effects rants. Hope you enjoyed it.
I'll see the movie in a few weeks when it's in the cheap show. I'll keep an eye out for Jasper. He sounds hilarious!

yeah that's exactly what it was. just the camera trying to make them look superhuman. one time was when bella was on edwards back and...i can't even describe it...horrible. you'll see when you watch it. im curious to see if you can sit through the whole thing. i almost couldn't. but....weirdly i didn't HATE it. odd how that worked out

I feel that there needs to be nerd oversight when making a movie such as this, so he can say . . . Hell no, that looks like crap . . . do it right, or dont do it at all. I have yet to see one (American) movie do superhero effects such as lifting heavy objects, flying through the air, or even fighting right.

I enjoyed the fact that the main male characters hair was so utterly ridiculous. They might as well have slapped some cookie monster eyes on it and given it dialogue, it wouldn't even be questioned considering the dialogue everyone else spews.
I would have disliked the movie if I had paid to see it but I actually fell asleep through some of it, and didn't really know what was happening. So I can't really judge it can I?

I can't hate on it too much. It was a fangirl targeted movie, and target fangirls IT DID.
I saw it on opening night just out of pure habit and I could have been one of maybe thrity guys in the whole theater.
We will always have Tomb Raider, right guys ?
