davidj has it right. I only blasted the word "spoiler" as a literal spoiler space, sorry for the confusion. Hovering the cursor over subject lines on this forum raises a preview of the first hundred or so characters of the post. I was trying to avoid inflicting my prediction on anyone who didn't want to see it, much like reserving true spoilers only for those who want them.

That could work, although it raises the question of why someone who could easily get a license wouldn't. Whoever it is may be a genuine rebel with deep grievances with The System. Declan would have all that PLUS the suffocating expectations of his parents. He MAY have also witnessed them manipulating The System shamelessly (for the sake of their egos), to the detriment of Mac's self-esteem. The motivations dovetail. Rebel. Devoted brother. Hero (in the broad sense of "do-gooder", not "obediant Agency drone").

Now proven - alive but with ruined (and appropriately villainous-looking) face....and the story behind that will explain his grudge against "the system".

Don't think of it as infecting people with parasites but rather afflicting them with pets.

Called it. Although, he may not be acting alone. Pardon the late response, but I only discovered this comic (and forum) today. When you say "Called it", what exactly did you call? Your prediction in the original post of this thread was that Declan Jade was the Vigilante, which is clearly not the case -- instead, Declan is the gravity-based villain who was knocking down offices of the Hero and Villain Agencies, but I don't see any mention of that possibility in this thread.

My PREDICTIONS were all based on evidence available in the comic prior to the actual reveal, combined with being Genre Savvy (look it up on TVtropes.com if you don't know what that means. I don't have any "inside knowledge" and never have.

What makes you think he WASN'T? He didn't start by knocking down the offices. He was destroying the credibility of the Agency before he went for the physical offices. Villans are and can be more complex than "MWAHAHAHA MUST DESTROY". There was a darkness effect associated with his power use, which he didn't bother with once his identity was known (and he wanted it known, as opposed to before). Capturing him has also apparently ended Vigilante attacks, although I will grant that may be coincidence and not causation. The surest way for me to be proven wrong will be for the Vigilante to strike again while Declan is accounted for; should that happen I will cheerfully post a retraction, but until then, this is my tale and I'm stickin' to it.
