If Val and Mac had to travel the world, would they adapt to whatever country they're visiting? Scotland-picture Val in a kilt France-Toss up between Apache dancer and Asterix the Gaul Egypt-Cleopatra wannabes Italy-Roman gladiator inspired outfits Japan-Either Kabuki, geisha or idol singer China-Val in kung-fu attire Germany-How practical is lederhosen in a fight? As for the rest of the world,I'll leave that up to you...!

I think by "adapt to whatever country they're visiting", you meant "wear a culturally insensitive troped outfit based on stereotyped ideas of other cultures". I'd resubmit this as "If Val and Mac had to travel the world, would they try to offend the people in their native country?".

Maybe this needs a rethink.....! Intubedhatred, what would you recommend??? I mean, most people have to bring their own clothes with them when they travel. Being in another country doesn't have to be visualized with cliche'd outfits - the illustrators here could just as easily draw Illumina or Val on the Eiffel Tower to show France wearing summer clothes during the summer, or in the highlands of Scotland with cold weather clothes. As American's, they'd realistically buy American goods to prepare for a trip like that and would take them with them. To match what you're describing in your list, Val and Illumina would have to be dressed like this when at home: (the one on the left is clearly Val) I mean, here are a few images of markets from these countries: Edinburgh, Scotland (found Googling "clothes shopping in scotland) Paris, France (found Googling "clothes shopping in france") Dahar, Egypt (found Googling "shopping in egypt") Athens, Greece (found Googling "shopping in greece") Florence, Italy (found Googling "shopping in italy") Osaka, Japan (found Googling "shopping in japan") Guangzhou, China (found Googling "shopping in china") Berlin, Germany (found Googling "clothes shopping in germany") I bring this up this way because this is 2016, and humanity has bridged the gaps between the oceans and we have modernized as a species. The things you mentioned are "traditional" clothing for those cultures - Val and Illumina don't have any ties to non-American heritages that they didn't have provided from their families. Styling between Scottish, French, Egyptian, Italian, Japanese, Chinese and German anything changes based on those cultures, and differ readily, but represent their culture NOW. Respecting these cultures as modern day equivalents is how they should be respected as a modern people. It sends the message that you don't see other people as modern or equal, or that somehow we are the only people in the world who have quality goods or styles. Compare your outfit to a puritan's outfit and tell me if you realistically can't see why it is a silly assertion.

Okay, maybe save the kilts and what-have-you for pageants and Renaissance fairs and the occasional cosplay. Thanks for clearing that up!!! Still would Val rock the kilt???
