Greetings all,
So, I've been reading SG for a while and loving it, but I never made it into the forums. Then, a weird thing happened:
My company was going to GenCon and DragonCon to show off our stuff. We needed a couple extra people to help run the booth, and our sysadmin said "Oh, I've got this friend and she loves to work cons." (Personally, I thought this a bit odd but hey, gift horse, ya know?) So I contacted this woman and asked if she'd like to to go to GenCon and DragonCon, and she said yes. (She also did some drawing work for us and the results were gorgeous.)
Well, there we are at GenCon and I'm chatting with her, and she happens to mention that she does this webcomic called Sidekick Girl. I immediately start doing the fanboy Squee!!! She couldn't believe that I was actually a reader until I started quoting. :> Well, that was Lore, and she later took me over to meet Erika.
As it worked out, both of them came to DragonCon with us and helped out with the booth, and did a fantastic job. Erika ran a kickass D&D game for me and Lore, which was the first time I've been able to play D&D in at least a decade. It's taken me about ten days to get home and get over the Creeping Con Crud and get caught up on work, but I wanted to drop in and say:
Lore and Erika rock!
