We're featured guests this year! Doesn't THAT sound fancy?
As of this time, we will be presenting three panels:
Webcomics 101: Character and Story Development. Tips and suggestions on developing your story and characters for your new or existing comic.
Webcomics 102: Behind the Scenes. The organizational stuff that keeps a comic going. Includes website design, update schedules, working with a partner, etc.
Webcomics 103: Shameless Self Promotion. Promoting yourself with advertising, doing conventions, merchandise, etc.
More may be added depending on the needs of the con.
We will not have a table this year, because frankly we can't afford it. However, we WILL have most of our merch with us, particularly on the day we do panels, since we use some of it to demo. And by "with us," I mean "In the trunk of my car," so if there's a particular item you would like to pick up, let us know, and we can do some shady parking lot dealings. You don't pay shipping, we get cash instead of having to pay the paypal fee, everyone wins.
If you want to try to find us at the con outside of the panels, look for us in SG shirts, or maybe we'll tweet stuff or something.
We MIGHT
Plan a meetup somewhere
Get ribbons
MIIIIGHT
If you are anywhere near the Detroitish area, you should come to Penguicon. Seriously. It's my favorite con to go to to have fun. Tons of programming, activities all day and night all weekend, room parties (if that's your thing) and the staff tries to foster a very welcoming vibe. Not much in the way of vendors, but what they do have is mostly handmade art and nerdy crafts.
