What are your favorite Webcomics?

I'm a megafan of the medium of webcomics. Once you get to the point of sorting bookmarks into different folders, you're probably better off just using something like Piperka to keep track of updates. Here's the list of my "subscriptions" (sort of like "subscribing" to RSS feeds). That list includes some that are complete, or on hiatus, or only update once a month, and so on, so it's not quite as bad as it looks.

There are some others that aren't on Piperka, such as Alpha Shade (which it can't crawl because of the Flash-based navigation), but I'm too lazy to write out that list. Incidentally, I just submitted Sidekick Girl to Piperka. At this point, I'm so spoiled, I really hate having to check for updates manually.

I stopped reading Ctrl+Alt+Del and PvP (among others) in January.

You know, I could never get into Ctrl+Alt+Del. Now I'm glad I didn't waste my time reading through all the bazillions of archives since most people I've talked to are dropping it.

I recently discussed Ctrl Alt Del with a friend of mine, and as it turns out neither of us know why we still read it.

I read it for awhile, but didn't get into it enough to go beyond a marathon reading of archives. Penny Arcade is another one that I think is funny, but never liked enough to add it to my rotation.

Now there was one comic that I read intensely for about a week.

I spent hours a day going through the archives, since it was pretty interesting at first, and I wanted to see how the story would "end." That and I standardly don't make up my mind on a comic til I've gone through the archives.

It started out all right. Then started getting weird. And then weirder. Eventually it just got too crazy and convoluted and I didn't want to deal wth it anymore and stopped reading.

Several times I've described this comic to others: Starts off with thsi guy goinmg to college, then things get weird and mystical, then he gets powers, and the secret society stuff starts happening. Then all his friends get powers, and he likes his powers, but he finds out that if he uses them, his relatives get sick, and that's how his mom died, and he's got a sister who'll die if he saves the world. And it's all black and white, art not bad, but every once in awhile instead of comics it will be long chunks of prose.

This is usually where people say that they know what I'm talking about, even though neither of us can remember the name, and they tried reading it until it got too weird as well.
