Lets see...my first thought was "oh, thank GOD she's not wearing the beehive today!" The second was that her voice is really grating...and then after the first question I turned it off. I just don't have the patience to listen to political blathering. I'll do my candidate research online, for the most part.

Not much. I think Palin did generally very well. But I like Palin, I think she's a different sort of person than you normally get in politics. She also seemed a little more in McCain's camp than Biden was in Obamas.
I generally thought Biden came across as kinda creepy this time honestly. I think it was his smile. And reading up online afterwards he appeared to be more on the side of erroneous statements than Palin was.
But y'know... I didn't watch the whole thing, because I fully support the thought of online research. I just got that impression from a few soundbites.
I have to wonder. Does anyone really like politics? Really?
It also occurred to me that both Biden and Palin have the same number of characters in their surname.
Coincidence? Yeah, probably.

heh . . .
My impression was two things. Rocky (the original) and Charlie Wilson's War . . .
Regardless of your beleifs about her, Sarah Palin was not supposed to "show up" for the debate at all. Joe Biden was supposed to walk all over her and knock her out in the third round. . . Not so much, Sarah threw the first punch and if allowed, would have LOVE to throw the last punch. She took all accusations in stride and fired them right back at Joe. She went the didstance bloody and beaten, but so was Biden.
And charlie wilson's war . . . Well, they never attacked each other, it was just attacking each other's presidential candidate and George Bush. So it was just a proxy war between the presidential candidates . . .
My two cents
::EDIT:: Who likkes politics ? I eat this shizzle up !

I know what I did watch of it I found entertaining. And normally I DON'T like politics.
Honestly though, it was always my impression that Palin was going to be better in this debate than people were giving her credit for. I heard someone mentioned she was probably just overcoached in her previous lackluster appearances, which is not where she shines.
Biden... I have little opinion about. He certainly could have done a lot worse, but he also could have done better. I do re-iterate that he doesn't seem to me like he's so much running WITH Obama as he's running for VP at the same time as Obama is P, on the same ticket. If that makes any sense.

I think the only way I would have been happy is if Biden walked away from the debate with Palin's corpse over his shoulders like some sort of cape.

I read beforehand that Palin's job was to not sound like an idiot, and Biden's was to not be a jerkface.
