Lore has stuff to say about this one, so I'll let her do the honors. I have but two bits:
1) Dr Grandpa is about the cutest thing EVER.
2) This was a LONG arc. Seriously long. A ten parter by my count. How does everybody feel about this? Are long arcs something you would like to see more of? Or do you prefer the fourish part arcs that we usually do?

My first reaction was "that's it?" I'm not sure enough went wrong.

I was perfectly fine with how long the arc was . . . It is your call . . . With short arcs you have more potential to add to the plot/character development through more stories, however at the same time you seriously limit yourself on plot/character development through a rich and engrossing story. Plus you might run out of plot in the long run
With long arcs, you can fit more jokes in a "chapter" and have a HUGE ability to develop character/plot/story. . . etc. But at the same time you run the risk of boring your audience (inherent drawback to updating once a week).
I personally enjoyed the body swap story arc and thought the pacing (spelling?) was done very well. Just don't pull an "Exploitation Now" and make a side story take months to finish and end up being more interesting than the main plot.

You know, vaporization has to be a sucky super hero death. Probably the most painless/gory though.

I would say that instantaneous vaporization would be a pretty good way to die, as it seems like it would be pretty painless. Glory would depend on the circumstances. Leaping at the arch nemesis with the self destruct object to save the orphans? Great. Alone in the fortress of solitude because your cat jumped on the red button? Kiiiinda crummy.

My first reaction was "that's it?" I'm not sure enough went wrong. Yeah, that was too short. Webcomic fans understand webcomic time. We accept that with so much time between updates, it takes a very long time to go through even a short story. It's the flip side of the high originality and low cost, and we make up for it by reading more titles. No really. It felt several times like there was a strip missing, and at the end as if several strips got skipped. Though it felt long to you, to me it was metaphorically just a sketch of a narrative. Not that I'm complaining! I appreciate your gift of a free illustrated story, thank you. At the same time, I understand that we your audience are also your editor, since you don't have an official one; and you asked for crits.

It's an interesting take on it. It's true that when we were discussing the gags for this, there were a lot more ideas than actually wound up into the strips. This is why, if we had our druthers, we would update three times a week. Then we could have a lot more detail without having it drag on for months.
Updating more frequently IS something we plan to do, but it's in that nebulous "eventualy." It was in the plan right from the beginning, when we wanted to start off at one so that we wouldn't be overwhelmed and quit when the comic was still a baby comic and we weren't as invested in it. Now it's pretty well established, but there are still only so many hours in a day...

You could do what the guy at Electronic Tigers does . . . Have a main story going on during the week and a side story go on during the weekend

See, that kind of defeats the ENTIRE purpose. The whole point was that we aren't getting as deep into stories as we could because we only update once a week. Why on earth would we add another update a week that doesn't even contribute to the plot? And it doesn't negate the fact that we still don't have the time in our lives to do more than one a week right now.

My thoughts would be try babysteps.
Firstly just try getting more drawing done than normal per week, and increment it up until you can double your update schedule and try that on for size for a bit. Then do it again till you can add a third maybe if that seems comfortable.
If it doesn't, can always relax again.
