I had an interesting question, but rather than clutter up your fresh new forum, I figured I'd make a thread for everyone to use, rather than an individual thread for the one simple question. >.>
Here's the first question:
Which comic books do you guys derive inspiration from? Webcomics and hero comics alike.

Which comic books do you guys derive inspiration from? Webcomics and hero comics alike. Yay questions! Lessee... I grew up reading X-Men. I was a Marvel girl all through gradeschool and high school. Jim Lee was the first to really inspire me to draw and I tried so hard to draw like him. He draws so purdy. As for actually inspiration from comics to our characters, I'm not sure if there are any characters specifically. They're sort of a combination of different traits and girl-angst from not having enough female superheros who are strong without looking ridiculously hyper-sexy. Both Val and Mack came out of the same thing, but are obviously the different aspects of it. Many of the future characters also come out of stories that Erika and I have played around with for years and years, so we're kinda copying off oursleves sometimes.

I have a question: how did you guys create a community in your forum that people keep coming back to? I've been running my intra-web comic for... a number of months and i just don't get people in my forum, really. Damnation!

I've been running my intra-web comic for... a number of months and i just don't get people in my forum, really. Damnation! Well, it helps that about 10 of the 15 members we have are personal friends that we demanded join our forum on threat of dismemberment. Though, honestly, they're not really posting all that much. I might have to start pulling off some fingers.

Make an Avatar-sized image, and/or a banner type image for people to post on their myspaces or blogs etc, for a lil bit more traffic. Post more plugs on other forums Make friends with a fellow comic creator, and manage to post links on their sites. Also: ComicSpace.com is a Myspace for webcomics.

Is ComicSpace like it's own comic publishing site or is it for people who also have a comic site elsewhere?

It's not a comic publishing site, that I can tell.
It's a networking place, like MySpace. You've got a friends list, a blog, but you've also got an image gallery to display some of your comic artwork.
Plus your comic will be listed for browsing people to find, which is the best part. I've found a few pretty cool comics just doing a little browsing on that site.

I'm of the theory that she can also change her cup size from unbelievably enormous to a little smaller than unbelievably enormous and then back again. But that's about it.

Blah blah stopping bullets , blah blah locomotive. We're talking about enormous boobies here. Those things can easily cause multiple car traffic accidents and cause divorce rates to skyrocket. Now THAT is power.
