Kidding, I did read it. But it was really wordy. I'm a fan of the classics, I really really liked the explanation that was once given for Alpha Flight's Aurora, in paraphrase, "several hundred punches, each no stronger than that of a normal human woman, landing in the space of a second...". And no less effective. Another way to put what Haze did to the vill's armor in dialogue: "You know how martial artists can break piles of lumber and concrete blocks without hurting themselves?" "Yeah?" "Well, it's like that, only more so. And only possible because I'm as fast as I am." But that doesn't lead into the satisfying "read a book" line, so I guess you can be forgiven for doing it the way it was done Feel free to use this snippet in the future, if you'd like.

Unfortunately, it's actually Haze that should read a book. Or at least consult wikipedia. To achieve JUST a 5% mass increase through realtivistic effects, you have to travel about 30% of c. An object travelling at 30% of c in air would cause an instant nuclear explosion. Check out xkcd's very good explanation of what a relativistic baseball would do what-if.xkcd.com/1/Her explanation is plain, 100% BS. So whatever she did do (and frankly, an speedster can generate crap loads of force without invoking special relativity, JUST through highschool physics F=.5mv^2) she did not do it by going at relativistic velocities. Unless you then want to hand wave her not contacting the atmosphere, and also using a tiny tiny tiny tiny fraction of the energy she's actually expending to accelerate and decelerate to fractional-c on contact forces fighting people, and phasing through effectively solid matter is another one of her powers.

Nah just means Laura didn't do all her research. Sorry. But I figured it was a comic so it really wouldn't matter all that much. I was wrong. Won't happen again.
