I loved it. I lent it to one of my english friends and she actually cried during several parts of it...she didn't realize that our health care was so difference from Britain's. I think the biggest reason it hit me so hard though was because we had just found out my mom's cancer had spread to her liver, and her insurance (who had just upped her premiums due to her last bought with cancer, but promised to take care of her if it ever came back) refused to pay any percentage of chemotherapy (or any 'experimental' cancer treatment).
What I thought was so ridiculous was the woman charged for not calling in to approve an ambulance ride before she got in one...she was unconscious in the street. How on earth can they expect you to call in and ask if it's okay for you to ride in an ambulance to the hospital after you've been in an accident if you're lying unconscious in the middle of the street?!

Everything gets charged, no matter how pointless or seemingly impossible. It should also be noted that many health care providers, if not all, charge approximately twice as much as what the service is actually worth. This isn't an attack on them. They are forced to do so because insurance companies will only pay a small percentage of what they charge. If they attempt to charge less to someone who isn't insured, then the insurance company will only give them a percentage of that smaller amount for every similar service they provide. It causes real hurt to people who aren't insured, and it doesn't help the provider any either.

Holy cow!! That all true? I mean, even now? I can't believe people here in France complain about our health care system. So let's say you have a car crash in the US, you loose your car, maybe a limb or two, and you're broke. It suddenly sounds very cool living in France ^^. I hope you'll never have that cool scar Lore ;-)
